A LITTLE PEACE OF MIND

Clear when we know.
Honest when we don’t.

Street Legal checks NYC parking and street-sign data against millions of enforcement records. That helps uncover places where the city’s published data and what happens on the street don’t line up. When the evidence doesn’t support a clear answer, you’ll see that.

It checks the rules at the curb. It can’t tell you whether a space is empty. Always check posted and temporary signs before you park.

TAKE A CLOSER LOOK

See it in motion.

Twenty-two seconds. A little more clarity.

A few good questions.

Where does Street Legal work?

Published coverage spans 180 neighborhoods across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and Staten Island. That doesn’t mean every curb is covered. Where the evidence isn’t clear, the app shows unknown.

How does Street Legal know the parking rules?

Street Legal combines NYC parking and street-sign data, then checks it against millions of enforcement records. When those sources don’t agree well enough to support an answer, Street Legal shows the curb as unknown instead of guessing.

Does Street Legal know whether a space is open?

No. Street Legal finds curbs whose rules work for your stay. It doesn’t detect empty spaces, reserve parking, or predict availability.

What happens if Street Legal isn’t sure?

It says so. When the evidence isn’t strong enough for a clear answer, Street Legal shows the curb as unknown. And if a parking search can’t provide a supported answer, it doesn’t count against your free search.

How much does it cost?

Your first supported parking search is free, including nearby curb exploration. After that, Street Legal is US$19.99/year for unlimited supported searches. Searches without a supported answer don’t count. Saved parking, reminders, and answers you’ve already received remain available without a subscription.

Do I need an account?

No. There’s no Street Legal account or sign-in. Your saved car and places stay on your device.
