## What Street Legal does

Street Legal evaluates NYC curb parking rules for a selected place, date, and time.
It can:

- Explain whether parking is supported at a curb and show the rules behind the answer.
- Help plan an entire stay by finding nearby curbs whose rules work from arrival through departure.
- Show when parking conditions change and when a parked car needs to be moved.
- Save a parked-car location and provide reminders and walking directions back to it.

## Coverage

Published coverage spans 180 neighborhoods across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and Staten Island.
Coverage is not universal. Some individual curbs remain unknown when the available evidence is not strong enough to support a clear answer.
Street Legal combines NYC parking and street-sign data and checks it against millions of enforcement records. When those sources do not agree well enough, Street Legal shows an unknown result rather than guessing.

## Important limitations

Street Legal does not:

- Detect whether a parking space is physically empty.
- Predict parking availability.
- Reserve parking spaces.
- Guarantee that a driver will not receive a ticket.

Drivers should always check posted, temporary, construction, emergency, and other street-level signs before parking.

The interactive Upper East Side map on the website is a demonstration using a fixed sample week generated from data dated August 10, 2026. It is not live parking guidance.

## Pricing

The first supported parking search is free, including nearby curb exploration.
Continued new supported searches require an annual subscription of US$19.99 per year.
Unknown or unsupported answers do not consume the free search.
Existing answers, saved parking, and reminders remain available without an active subscription.

## Privacy

Street Legal requires no Street Legal account or sign-in.
Saved cars, saved places, and related app data are stored on the user's device and are not automatically uploaded to Second Act Labs. Device backups may include app data according to the user's Apple backup settings. Sharing and sending problem reports require the user's deliberate action.
Street Legal has no advertising SDKs or third-party tracking SDKs.
